Face Harmony App Review: Is Clavicular's App Legit?

Face Harmony by Clavicular has no free tier: plans run $9.99/week to $49.99 lifetime. What reviews report, where face data goes, how to cancel, a free option.

You saw Clavicular's post, downloaded Face Harmony, answered questions about your skin, sleep and goals, gave it your phone number and held still for the scan. The next screen was a price. Short answer: the Face Harmony app is real but not free, nothing public shows its score is accurate, and for most people it is not worth $9.99 a week.

Our position: Clavicular's name is why this app gets searched, not a reason to trust its number. So we checked what is checkable.

Desk research as of October 1, 2026; we have not bought a subscription. Disclosure: we build the free test linked below.

Key numbers

  • 2.3 stars from 107 ratings, 67 of them one-star (US App Store, October 1, 2026).
  • $519.48 a year for Harmony Weekly ($9.99) at list price, versus $49.99 once for Lifetime.
  • Up to 100 facial measurements per scan, typically about 27, stored on the developer's servers (privacy policy, effective July 30, 2026).
  • 100 milliseconds — enough for attractiveness judgments that closely match untimed ones (Willis & Todorov, 2006).

Is the Face Harmony app really Clavicular's?

Yes. Clavicular, a looksmaxxing influencer (looksmaxxing: the online push to maximize your looks), announced it on X and Instagram on July 22, 2026, saying rating requests flooding his DMs pushed him to build it (IBTimes UK). The official site calls it the official Clavicular app; the App Store lists Nathan Kest as seller, Face Harmony App LLC as copyright holder.

Credit where due: his reach is why the app has an audience, and facial harmony — features that read as belonging together — is a real idea in aesthetics.

Is the Face Harmony app free?

No. Its App Store description, read October 1, 2026, says: "Scan features are paid and there is no free tier." Downloading is free; results are not.

Where does the paywall appear?

After you have handed over everything else (per the listing, policy and reviews):

  1. Questionnaire: gender, goals, skin, sleep, diet — all stored, per the policy.
  2. Phone sign-in: Firebase phone verification.
  3. Face scan: front and side, processed on your phone.
  4. Paywall: Harmony Pro, before the full report and improvement plan.

That order is the business model: after this much effort, paying feels like finishing — the pattern behind the face-rating app paywall.

How much does Face Harmony cost over a year?

It depends on the billing period: at list price, Harmony Weekly runs $519.48 a year, while Lifetime is $49.99 once — about five weekly payments.

Plan (US App Store)List price12 months at list price
Harmony Weekly$9.99 a week$519.48
Pro Monthly$19.99 a month$239.88
Monthly$9.99 a month$119.88
Lifetime$49.99 once$49.99

The weekly price is double the $4.99 median weekly tier in our price audit of 15 face-rating apps. And $9.99 buys a week on one plan, a month on another: read the period, not the price.

Caveat: the in-app sheet may differ. If you pay at all, only Lifetime has the math on your side.

What do Face Harmony reviews actually say?

They skew negative: eight of the 10 reviews Apple shows on the web listing give one star, and the complaints are specific.

  • Pay to see results: a July 23 reviewer described a high first score, then a lower one after declining to pay; July 24 and 25 reviewers said results required paying.
  • Stuck at sign-in: three reviewers (July 25 to 27) could not pass phone verification; a July 28 update cites improved onboarding.
  • Data doubts: a July 30 reviewer alleged that face-derived data reached the developer's servers.

Steelman: some one-star reviews are jokes, and some backlash veered into conspiracy theories that IBTimes UK noted lack public evidence. Weigh complaints, not stars.

Where does your face data go?

Your photos stay on your phone; numbers describing your face do not. Per the privacy policy, photos, the 3D face mesh and landmarks never leave the device, but your scores, questionnaire answers and up to 100 measurements per scan, such as eye spacing and canthal tilt (the slant between the eye's inner and outer corners), sit on US Google Firebase servers until you delete them. Google Analytics gets your sex, exact age and goals, tied to your account.

The App Store label looks cleaner than most: in our audit of 24 face-rating apps' privacy labels, 19 declared tracking; Face Harmony declares none. But it lists only name, phone number, coarse location, device ID, usage and diagnostics — nothing obviously covering facial measurements, age or sex. A July 25 developer reply saying no face data is stored on any server fits the policy only if face data means the photo itself.

We don't accept that narrow definition. Eye spacing in millimetres is anthropometry, body measurement long used for identification, which is why the policy itself weighs whether its measurements fall under laws like Illinois's Biometric Information Privacy Act. It says it never uses them to identify anyone.

Caveat: we read documents, not network traffic, so we cannot confirm what the app transmits.

Is the Face Harmony score accurate?

Nobody outside the company can say: neither the listing nor the site cites a validation study, and what it measures is not what strangers react to. It turns about 27 distances and angles into a score, places it against other users' score histograms (per the policy) and prints it under Clavicular's name.

Call it the name-on-the-ruler problem: a ruler with an influencer's name on it feels like a verdict, leaping from millimetres to his taste to how strangers see you. Neither leap is verified.

Attractiveness is real and shared: a large meta-analytic review pooling eleven meta-analyses found raters agree on who is attractive, within and across cultures (Langlois et al., 2000). But that read forms in about 100 milliseconds from the whole face, and in our model it works like a threshold, not a ruler: once you look well-kept and at ease, extra millimetres stop deciding much.

What Face Harmony measuresWhat a stranger actually reads first
Eye spacing, cheekbone width (mm)The whole face, in about 100 ms
Canthal tilt (degrees)A relaxed or tense expression
Symmetry and proportion sub-scoresGrooming: hair, skin, beard
Your score against other usersContext: light, clothes, posture

Which Face Harmony app did you download?

If the seller line says Nathan Kest, it is Clavicular's. If it says Stuke Digital LLC, it is the 4.6-star Face Harmony: Face Rating, formerly FaceMax per its August 27 release notes. At least six App Store apps use the name, so also check:

  1. Released: July 10, 2026 (Stuke Digital's app: April 25, 2026).
  2. Website: faceharmony.org. The look-alike faceharmony.ai is listed for an older portrait app.
  3. Platform: Apple only. Face Harmony apps on Google Play come from other developers.

How do you cancel Face Harmony and get a refund?

Cancel in Settings, not the app; refunds go through reportaproblem.apple.com, where Apple decides. Then clear your data:

  1. Cancel: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Face Harmony → Cancel Subscription (Apple's steps). Deleting the app does not stop billing.
  2. Refund: at reportaproblem.apple.com, choose I'd like to → Request a refund, pick a reason and the charge, then Submit. Apple says to expect an update within 24 to 48 hours (Apple Support); our refund guide has wording that helps.
  3. Delete your account in the app, which per the policy erases your profile, scans, measurements and phone number.
  4. Email dev@faceharmony.org to purge records held by Google Analytics, Crashlytics and RevenueCat, which in-app deletion misses.
  5. Delete the app to clear the photos and scans on your phone.

Is there a free face harmony test without a paywall?

Yes, if you want a read rather than a ruler. Our free test reads how you land with a stranger at first sight, placing you on a 70–155 perception axis with a face, physique and outfit breakdown. Harmony is one of its six face signals, read as a first impression rather than one influencer's standard.

  • Free: your number, the full read and your biggest levers; free account, no card. Optional deeper modules cost $1.50 each, one-time, no subscription.
  • Honest limit: it is not a validated clinical instrument. No photo test is.

More options: best free looksmaxxing apps with no paywall.

And plainly: rescanning all week for a better number is the looksmax spiral, not self-improvement. The NHS lists spending a lot of time comparing your looks with others' as a sign of body dysmorphic disorder, and a score ranked against other users invites exactly that. If scans leave you feeling worse, step away.

The bottom line

Face Harmony is a real, Clavicular-branded app with an unusually candid privacy policy. It also has no free tier, no cited validation study, a 2.3-star rating and a weekly plan costing $519.48 a year at list price. If you must pay, buy Lifetime.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Face Harmony app free?

No. Downloading is free, but its App Store description says scan features are paid and there is no free tier. The US App Store lists Harmony Weekly at $9.99, Monthly at $9.99, Pro Monthly at $19.99 and Lifetime at $49.99. If you want a scan with no paywall on the result, see our list of the best free looksmaxxing apps with no paywall.

Is the Face Harmony score accurate?

Nobody outside the company can say, because neither the App Store listing nor the official site points to a validation study. The app computes around 27 facial measurements and compares your result with other users, which is not the same as how strangers react to you. A July 23 reviewer also described a different number appearing after declining to pay, the kind of instability we cover in why face-rating apps give different scores.

Does Face Harmony upload or store my face?

Partly. Its privacy policy, effective July 30, 2026, says your photos, 3D face mesh and landmark points stay on your phone, but your scores and up to 100 derived facial measurements per scan are stored on Google Firebase servers in the US until you delete them. We compare disclosures like this in our face-rating app privacy audit.

How do I cancel Face Harmony and get a refund?

On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Face Harmony and tap Cancel Subscription. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com; Apple, not the developer, decides. Deleting the app does not stop billing. Full steps and refund wording are in our cancel-and-refund guide.

Is Face Harmony by Clavicular on Android?

Not as of October 1, 2026. The official site links only to the Apple App Store and we found no Google Play listing from the same developer, so Android apps or APK files using the name are not from the official site. For something that runs in any phone browser, try our free first-impression test.
