Canthal Tilt

Gonial Angle

Gonial angle: the angle where the jaw's vertical ramus meets its horizontal body. Forums idolize 115-125 degrees; photos cannot measure it reliably.

Mandible

The mandible is the lower jawbone, a core masculine signal in a male face. Body fat hides or reveals it; the bone itself barely changes after puberty.

Maxilla

The upper jaw bone that anchors the midface. Forward growth supports the cheeks and nose base; recession flattens them. Bone is fixed by adulthood.

Cheekbones (Zygomatic)

The zygomatic bones that set face width and the cheek's highlight. Body fat and camera angle change their visibility as much as the bone itself.

Ogee Curve

The S-shaped line from the cheekbone out, then into the cheek hollow, seen in three-quarter view. A lighting and leanness effect as much as a bone one.

Buccal Fat

Neoteny

Retained youthful facial traits: large eyes, full cheeks, small nose, smooth skin. In male faces it splits two ways depending on the look you are selling.

Sexual Dimorphism

How much a face leans toward male vs female traits. The base concept under most face-attraction research, and preference for it shifts with context.

Golden Ratio Face

The claim that beautiful faces fit 1.618 proportions, popularized by the Marquardt mask. The research behind it is thin and photo measurements are noisy.

Side Profile

The face at 90 degrees, where chin and jaw projection can't hide. Forums call it the truth test, but real life rarely views you from there.

Forward Growth

How far the jaws developed forward instead of rotating down. It shapes profile support, it is set by adulthood, and no exercise changes it.

Recessed Chin

Hooded Eyes

Limbal Rings

Submental Fat

Hollow Cheeks

Beard Density

V-Taper

The V-shaped torso silhouette created by wide shoulders tapering to a narrow waist — one of the strongest distance-readable body signals.

Shoulder-to-Waist Ratio

Shoulder circumference divided by waist circumference — the measurable number behind the V-taper and the main trainable lever for silhouette width.

FFMI (Fat-Free Mass Index)

Fat-Free Mass Index — lean mass in kg divided by height in meters squared, plus a height correction. The community's 'how big, drug-free' yardstick.

Skeletal Frame

The bone structure under the muscle — clavicle width, ribcage size, wrist girth. The part of your build that training scales up but never reshapes.

Clavicle Width

Collarbone length, the bone that sets shoulder frame width. Fixed in adulthood — but visual width is bone plus delts plus lats, and two of those train.

Body Recomposition

Losing fat and building muscle in the same period instead of bulk-cut cycles. For first impressions, the fat-loss side moves the needle far faster.

Softmaxxing is every non-invasive looksmaxxing route: body fat, haircut, skincare, clothes that fit. The highest-return tier, and the most skipped.

Hardmaxxing

Hardmaxxing means surgical or medical looksmaxxing: rhinoplasty, jaw implants, fillers, leg lengthening. High cost, real risk, mostly irreversible.

Mewing

Mewing is tongue-posture training: tongue flat against the palate, lips closed. Claimed to reshape the jaw; the adult-bone evidence isn't there.

Bonesmashing

Bonesmashing is striking facial bones hoping micro-damage triggers growth. No evidence it works; real risks are fracture, asymmetry, and nerve damage.

Mogging

Mogging means visibly outclassing someone on looks — being "mogged" is losing that comparison. Forum slang for the contrast effect in social settings.

Gymmaxxing

Gymmaxxing is looksmaxxing through lifting: build the shoulders and back, cut the waist. One of the few routes with real, repeatable first-glance returns.

Skinmaxxing

Heightmaxxing

Jaw training: chewing-resistance devices (Jawzrsize and clones) sold to sharpen the jawline. They grow masseter muscle, not bone — and TMJ pays the bill.
